Sketching on Location

bac-sketchers-2Sketching on Location

Sketching is a powerful way to “see” and experience the world. This dynamic six-session course teaches students to record their impressions and visions on paper. Working at a new location each week, the goal is to see and remember details by creating drawings that are free, loose, and interpretive.

Beneficial to beginners and experienced sketchers alike, the course covers everything from how to hold a pencil to how to capture the human figure in movement, underscoring basics like composition and form as you go. All levels of drawing experience are welcome.

Dates: Fridays, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 1 – 4 p.m.
