The goal of the traveler is to fully experience. The goal of the artist is to express that experience.
My “In the Mirror” series is a journal of sorts. Whenever I am away from my own bed, I document the time and place using pencil or paint, always situating my own reflection (however small) somewhere in the composition. Restrictions are good for creative types, but in this case there are few rules, other than to find the image without having to move the furniture. The only limitations are the art supplies and time available.
The journey begins!
